Marie-Chantal Ross is the Program Leader for the National Research Council Canada’s Fleet Forward 2020 program which looks at improving the efficiency of urban and interurban fleets. In this role, she provides vision, direction and the leadership in the delivery, adoption and impact of the program’s research to improve the operational and fuel efficiency as well as reduce greenhouse emissions from Canada’s fleets. She has been the driving force behind the NRC’s Intelligent Transportation Systems capacity development.
Marie-Chantal is mechanical engineer from the University of Toronto and has a Masters in Engineering Management from the University of Ottawa. She brings 20+ years of research and development experience from both the private and public sectors. For the last 10, she has been working on strategic R&D for the development of technologies that can reduce the environmental footprint of the transportation sector. She has experience working on technologies for the heavy and light duty automotive as well as marine sectors.
